This renovated basement of Tricia Foley's has areas for work, entertaining, flower arranging, and laundry. Tricia found this 12 seat picnic table at a yard sale and freshened it up with paint. She swapped out red vinyl upholstery on the benches with linen. Tricia has the talent and ability to create a space that draws you in. Simple yet so inviting. Open shelves are another Tricia Foley frequently done favorite of mine . Peg rails in the mud room are one of the designer's favorite organizing tool. The mud room is rimmed with them for her frequently used items. Here is a link to Tricia's site to see more of her incredible style.http://www.triciafoley.com/

Hi Kelly, I have basement envy too. If I had a magic wand, I'd wave it over our basement and make it look exactly like hers. I love how bright it feels with all the white wainscott. And oh my, she even has a fireplace. Our basement, despite having windows, feels like a dark cave. It's on the 'to do' list to fix it up a bit so these images will provide much needed inspiration! Can't wait to show Mike. xoTrina
Hi Kelly- thanks for sharing these lovely photos! We are finishing off a 3-season porch and plan to stone one long wall. I love the look of the light stone with the gray tabletop! Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh covet covet covet....
I did just do a laundry re-do and added a flower arranging area...and a shelf for all the containers. But a whole basement?! Imagine the possibilities!
Loving your blog!
I don't have a basement but I have a garage that I would love to have look half that good!
Love the post and your blog!

If that were my basement I might not ever come back up the stairs! Beautiful.
Love it! This aesthetic is my personal style. Just love it. I'm in design school now. Would love any advice you could give!

Hello,
She was one of my inspirations when my husband and I designed our basement. It was dark and it was not functional at all holding all our things. We just recently painted it and now to decorate. It's on my blog if you would like to check it out and see what you think.
