Vogue just interviewed me for their magazine...OMG...I'm in vogue. Ok, its' not for my face and especially not for my body its actually a story about OCD. The writer had seen my blog title ; O so D and contacted me about my connection , if any to OCD. The article is about women with OCD who have been able to take their "disorder" and turn it into something positive. Well, it's true, I was diagnosed with OCD about twenty years ago although, I've had it forever....When I was 10 , I was obsessed with the thought of Russia bombing and the world ending (my poor mother). A headache was never just a headache, it most definitely was a brain tumor. I've never been obsessed or freaked out by germs, I have however, always been a neat freak.. I love things in order and love for things to look a certain way. But, that part of my OCD was a cake walk, it was the chronic worrying that became out of control and was something that drove me crazy(drove my husband crazy too). About 20 years ago I started on an SSRI and decided to take my obsessions and turn them into something positive. I have always loved design and loved styling. Thus became the start of kelly McGuill Home www.kellymcguillhome.com, I can't say that I don't obsess at all but I can say that having OCD has made me a better person . And , if you look at my linen closet, you'd never ever ever believe me.
Well, onto other things, I've never been one for making New Years resolutions however, this year I've decided that I am going to make a really big attempt to blog more frequently. I have some new clients and new ideas...My next blog is going to be about secrets that Stylist and designers use for their clients. You don't need to have OCD to have the home or space that you want.....Stay tuned. Happy New year. xo kelly

I started to write you an e-mail yesterday but saw a bright shiny object and I got distracted from finishing it.
