My girl crush

I've got a serious crush on Ina Garten; everything about her..I love her style, her house, her husband Jeffery. She's absolutely beautiful.  Oh and there's her friends; T.R., Miguel, Michael, etc....She makes me really want to be her friend. Ina  has a way of making everything look simple but elegant.  I'm a huge fan of her interiors. I study her show , not  for cooking tips but for design and styling ideas.  I'd give my right arm(well not really) for the open shelving she has in the kitchen.  And there's that ginormous island...Ina Garten and Robert Stilin, the designer created a space that is beautiful and classic .  I 'm hopelessly devoted to Ina...

O.K. You and I are totally on the same wavelength. Over the past few lazy, lazy days I have memorized all six of her books, watched all 17 episodes (only 17? I want more!) on Fancast.com and each meal served in the Kung household since then has had its inspiration a la Ina. She motivates me to be a better person - more grace, more giving, more simplicity in my cooking and entertaining. AND if I had a big bag of $$ my house would be transformed too. Ahhhhhh, who wouldn't love that?
Thanks Kelly. Love all your posts.

Her house is beautiful...I think I may have to get to know her better, she sounds like a fabulous person to have a crush on. :)

Hi Kelly! I love Ina too! Just a few days ago I found myself in a bookstore reading through all of her amazing books! I just wanted so badly to invite myself over for a lovely dinner, brunch - I'd take a light snack!!! - just to be with her! She has such great style and is such an amazing inspiration. xoTrina

Hi Kelley,

Just found your blog via Trina, above. Isn't she fab!?

I have not been blogging very long either and I just love finding new interesting blogs to read.

I adore Ina too. I was a caterer for many years and I have to tell you that her recipes were foolproof. As you well know she started as a caterer. I could always count on perfection with her recipes.

Nice to meet you,

Hi Kelly!
I LOVE Ina too! I've, in fact, met her!!! When 'Barefoot in Paris' came out we (my sweet husband and I) flew from Dallas to Seattle to go to her book signing! She was absolutely lovely. As stunning and relaxed in person as she is on her show. Have all her books (most signed;) and don't tell anyone but have (up until the new barn episodes) ALL her shows on VCR tapes... yes, ALL of them!! 116 shows, so 58 hours of Ina! When I made her Île Flottante I can't tell you how much it helped to go to the episode and watch her make it!
Did I mention I love Ina?!!!;)

I adore her as well, but moreso, I adore you for having a girl crush! I seem to have them endlessly - I have blogged about a number of them. They tend to be photographers, but still, there is something about a girl crush that is simply so blissful~
LOVING your blog girlie,
xx

I agree completely! INA is INCREDIBLE! I love the simplicity of flavors of her dishes and how she LOVES to cook and her passion for it really comes through!

I know what you mean! I like looking at the design featured in Ina's cookbooks as much as eating her delicious food.
