Sister Act...Lu and Ellie

I come from a long line of very talented women. My Mom, Lula belle ( as I like to call her), actually her name is Lu Farrington has always been my idol…she’s a tough act to follow; as I like to say to everyone.  Her sister Ellie…aka “Auntie Ellie or Addie” is another one of my design icons that I so look up to, in design and in life.  The two sister's are incredibly amazing people and I can’t imagine my life without them. First, let me say that they both have such unique tastes; very different styles, but very livable homes.  Their spaces are so welcoming to anyone and everyone…Both of their homes have graced the pages of magazines, and when you see the images it’s easy to see why.

first 5 images are of Lu and Paul's  house ... remaining 4 images are of Ellie's house

Love to be a fly on the wall when you guys get together and talk shop.
What I most admire is the restraint, less is more approach to those beautiful rooms.

I don't know how I missed this post and I'm so happy to find it. These are all wonderfully edited rooms. I admire the simplicity of every single one. I partcularly love the dining room with the bold brown paisley chairs and the blue transferware. It's pretty ahd handsome at the same time.
